Features in detail
How does job evaluation work in easygrading?
A guided process takes you through the evaluation step by step, with an explanation for every field. Each job is evaluated against decision-making, knowledge & skills, problem-solving, responsibility and impact, and assigned to one of 28 grade levels. The foundation is the Paterson Method.
You import existing jobs from your job list. Working conditions such as physical effort or travel are added in a separate supplementary module. Cross-comparison lets you check whether jobs of equal value fall within the same grade. Job evaluation and cross-comparison are included from Basis upwards.
How are salary bands created?
At the click of a button, easygrading creates salary bands for each grade with a minimum, midpoint and maximum, separately for fixed, variable and total pay. You can adjust every value directly in the table and export the bands to Excel. Use the ranges for job advertisements, employee information requests and comparisons with actual salaries.
Upload your salary data as an Excel file using an import template. This lets you decide which data leaves your organisation. You can update individual records directly in the application.
What salary analyses does easygrading offer?
Seven views: bar chart, salaries by grade with a trend line, salaries against salary bands, box plot, quartiles and two gender analyses. Each analysis can use fixed salary including allowances, variable pay or total salary, filtered by business unit, collective agreement group, employment relationship and gender.
Export charts as PDF, PNG, JPEG or SVG and their underlying data as CSV or Excel, optionally with your company logo.
What EU Pay Transparency Directive metrics does easygrading provide?
easygrading calculates the unadjusted pay gap between women and men using averages and medians for basic pay and variable components, together with the proportion of women and men receiving variable pay and their distribution across the four pay quartiles (Article 9 of Directive (EU) 2023/970). Export the table as CSV or Excel.
Gender analysis for each grade compares the salaries of women and men in jobs of equal value and highlights grades with a difference above 5%, the threshold for a joint pay assessment under Article 10. The company must determine whether a difference is objectively justified.
